Commodity Manager

Successful Global Automotive Supplier is growing and is in need of an experienced Commodity Manager.

Commodity Manager for Automotive Aftermarket Business Unit. Manages commodity supply base to achieve corporate objectives on supplier rationalization, cost, quality and delivery performance. Oversees the sourcing and contract negotiation process. Provides support to plants.
Securing and analyzing quotations for new part introductions, and negotiating prices/terms with suppliers. Ability to plan, develop, and implement supply base strategies as well as negotiate and achieve cost reductions. Expedite the procurement of materials in short and critical supply. Coordinate quality matters, engineering changes and price changes with suppliers. Develops and executes commodity strategies. Oversees the sourcing and contract negotiation process. Provides support to Inventory Control. Works closely with Marketing and Engineering to execute Brands and Product Strategies.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree. Minimum 5 years experience in automotive Supply Chain. Direct experience in the Aftermarket industry and supply market preferred. Candidates must be proficient with Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Strong negotiation skills a must.
