C-Store Inventory Clerk

Giant Industries Inc., currently has an outstanding opportunity for a C-Store Inventory Clerk in Tucson, AZ. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, people person who likes to travel.



The incumbent is required to travel daily to retail convenience stores throughout Arizona. The greater number of stores are located in the Tucson, AZ area. Travel will be required to other areas such as White Mountains, Flagstaff, Sedona, Payson, and Buckeye.



JOB SUMMARY:



Travels and works individually and as a team to perform inventory audits in designated stores as scheduled. Analyzes audit data for communication with supervisors as necessary. Represents Giant Industries, Inc. in a professional manner in all dealings with employees, customers, and vendors.

Physically counts all merchandise by retail price multiplied by quantity to determine retail value for each category in each section. Reconciles total value of merchandise versus store level to determine audit variances.
Compiles and communicates results of all audit data to required personnel.
Reconciles store change funds and cash with store sales reports to determine cash variances.
Reconciles actual fuel stick readings with store book inventory to determine fuel variances.
Review tax rate on store register to assure that customers are being charged the proper taxes.
Practices preventative safety procedures to maintain an accident free workplace and to protect equipment assigned by the company for this position.
REQUIREMENTS

Vocational or specialized training and 3-12 months of specialized experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in 10-key.
Knowledge of and skill in using Excel.
Proven organizational skills and the ability to be a team player a must.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required.
Must be able to multi-task, pay close attention to detail, and respond to request in a timely manner.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
