Allocator

Specific Responsibilities: •Allocates merchandise to drive sales and profit •Sets up weekly store performance with input from the merchant/planner to create sales and inventory plans by store •Reviews MMS plans by store to insure sales and inventory are aligned with sales basis •Executes the correct allocation plan through the use of stock modifiers, regional reviews, volume groups and store selections •Reacts to weekly inventory needs for remodels, new stores, closing stores and marketing issues •Align in store inventory to support strategy sheets, marketing, sales plans, etc. •Tailors each allocation through the use of different variables/preferences to achieve the desired results •Gathers information to make appropriate decisions regarding merchandise flow •Utilizes MMS, Arthur Allocation and Microstrategy to gather information to make sound business decisions •Evaluates data (sales and inventory) and applies findings to current trends •Partners with all teams including MPR, DC and QC to establish proper cross functional relationships and effectively drive execution •Attends and actively participates in meetings by providing information relevant •Participates in weekly touchbase meetings to address allocation issues and provides insight on how to distort inventory to increase sales •Anticipates problems before they arise and quickly resolves •Is recognized as an authority when interacting with the MPR team •Has a strong sense of organization, priority and time management skills •Develops spreadsheets to perform daily tasks through the use of Microstrategy/Excel documents •Develops co-workers talent by sharing best practices such as system shortcuts and reporting to the business •Makes recommendations toward flow as to achieve in stock or turn objectivesJob Requirements
Experience: •2-3 years of experience in allocation or analysis •Previous retail experience, preferred •4-year degree in Retail or Business related area, preferred •Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment •Excellent communication skills •Detail oriented •Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel. MMS/Arthur a plus.
