UnderwriterMega Capital Funding, Inc. is a full-service banking company specializing in the conventional and niche residential mortgage product lines offering one of the most diversified loan product portfolios in the mortgage banking industry, while recently being referred to as one of the nation’s fastest growing mortgage lenders. Mega Capital Funding, Inc. is currently seeking individuals to fill key roles in our Cerritos Office. At this time, we are looking to fill our senior underwriter position. The main responsibility as an underwriter will be to approve or reject loan submissions. They will have to examine all documentation and verify the accuracy of the data. In addition, they will have to determine whether or not the loan data meets government as well as investor guidelines. They will have to be able to handle a very heavy file volume. Underwriters will underwrite on average 8-10 loans per day and must be able to work well with others.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, skills and abilities: • Knowledge of financial analysis techniques. • Strong leadership skills and a team player • Familiarity with investor requirements. • Basic understanding and knowledge of residential lending guidelines. • Knowledge of the mortgage origination process, policies and procedures. • Good understanding of financial institution products and services. • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and a basic understanding of Microsoft Access. • Exceptional customer service skills. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong organizational skills. • Detail oriented. • Ability to follow through assignments to completion.
