Sr. Insurance Specialist

Develop new business through Private Bank (PB) and Private Client Services (PCS) Build relationships with the Relationship Managers of the various market segments within PB & PCS. Conduct ongoing training for PB & PCS relationship managers with respect to our property and casualty capabilities and the identification of insurance needs. Develops individualized proposals for clients Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day sales activities within his/her team Expected to be well-versed/expert regarding full range of products marketed through the agency including homeowners, automobile, collections, umbrella/excess liability, yachts, aviation, kidnap & ransom, flood, earthquake and other special lines Active producer with regard to new business and cross sell Help to establish sales targets and superior service quality standards for the agency and translate the agency's sales goals into sales objectives Counsels clients with regard to questions about their existing insurance portfolio Cultivates customer relationships to obtain cross sales and additional referral sources for agency and PB/PCS Available for client calls with or without the PB/PCS Relationship Manager Superior customer service to all customers (internal and external) Timely delivery of policies and endorsements Ensures proper handling of claims Develops information for proper pricing and risk classification of each account Ability to set & deliver reasonable expectations Ability to problem solve & negotiate with carriers to satisfactorily resolve customer and carrier issues REQUIREMENTS
10+ years of property & casualty insurance sales experience with a proven track record in sales Property & Casualty license in good standing Thorough understanding of the property & casualty industry Problem resolution & negotiation skills Strong leadership and communication capabilities All sales competencies Ability to speak in front of large groups An understanding of the ultra high net worth client market and details in servicing the associated products Demonstrated ability to contribute to projects Manage time effectively and work independently Excellent communication skills, both written and oral PC skills; Microsoft Word and Excel required Teamwork skills B.A./B.S. degree strongly preferred High energy level
