JOB SUMMARY
The main purpose of this position is conducting all safety related functions in compliance with Company, State and Federal Regulations.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The job functions listed below represent the essential job duties and responsibilities of the above-listed position.
1 Conduct all training courses offered by the Safety Department.2 Perform all Safety related functions including, but not limited to, accident reviews, annual reviews and remedial Log training.3 Perform Drug and Breath Alcohol Tests (BAT).4 Knowledgeable in the use of AS-400, Microsoft Office, CBT (Computer Based Training)system and other office database systems.5 Provide 24 hour on-call support other Safety Department as determined by the Safety Manager.6 Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. English/Spanish bilingual individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.1 Skill in operating a Class 8 combination vehicle. Must possess current Class A CDL and have an exemplary motor vehicle record.2 Knowledge of D.O.T. and Company requirements, policies, and procedures.3 Knowledge of federal and state traffic laws and requirements for tractor/trailer equipment.4 Excellent listening skills.5 Excellent presentation skills in a classroom environment.
6 Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner over the telephone and in person.7 Skill in operating a P.C. and various office equipment.8 Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment.9 Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.10 Ability to travel as required.
