JOB SUMMARY:
The Training Manager is responsible for leading a team of Training Specialists dedicatd to supporting MHN's Government Services learning needs. The position will lead the training specialist team and partner with Program Development and Education leaders in the effective design and deployment of the appropriate training - including instructor-led (classroom and online) and self-service (online and offline) content and delivery. This position will create and implement ongoing program effectiveness tools for internal and client use, represent Program Development and Education with internal groups and clients, and create and manage new education products.
This position can be located in Point Richmond, CA, San Rafael, CA, or Irving TX
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads team that delivers learning programs.Plans, organizes and delivers classroom ready training/educational programs and appropriate materials, including evaluation, follow-up and management participation plans.Creates content for distance and e-learning training formats.
Works with training admin support to track, document all participation and certifications for required trainings using LMS and PLM tools.
Develops and implements proficiency assessments in collaboration with Supervisors.Develops and maintains policies, procedures and guidelines that support training and development activities for Sales, Account Management, and Account Services.
Designs deliverables to meet critical, measurable performance objectives.Defines learning activities and determines appropriate delivery mechanism and media to meet desired performance objectives.All programs directly support the achievement of program goals and requirements.Contributes to New Hire Orientation training program.
Maintains comprehensive inventory of available training resources offered by vendors and external suppliers/partners.Collaborates with product development and management personnel to support the product brand, positioning, sales strategy, introduction and promotion plans.
Supports Marketing and Sales in the development trainings to support product launch and customer retention programs.Conducts needs assessments of professional staff in target roles to identify learning and skills improvement opportunities that result in measurable performance enhancement.
Supports development of train the trainer formats to deliver training - ready curriculum to internal and contracted trainers to deliver programs using a variety of instructional methods, addressing the spectrum of adult learning styles and delivery media.

Education:Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Certification/License:
None required; Training & development professional development certification preferred
Experience:Prior experience working in a call center environmentExperience with similar programs in a similar industryPrior experience coordinating large-scale logistics-based projectsPrior experience coordinating cross-functional, virtual projects Broad technical, professional or administrative training experience requiredThree to five years work related experience; experienced in curriculum design and development for adult audienceExperience with government procurement and project management
