Insurance Sales Department Training Manager

Western Growers Insurance Services (full-service agency) celebrates more than 80 years of serving the fresh produce industry in California and Arizona. Our association members are the farmers who grow, pack and ship nearly one half of the nation's fresh vegetables, fruits and nuts. Some of the services we provide to our members include: health benefits, government relations, community relations, training, transportation claims and negotiations, legal and labor relations, financial services and retirement benefits, and property and casualty coverage.

We have an immediate opening for a Sales Department Training Manager in our Irvine office. Reporting directly to the Senior VP of Sales; the responsibilities will include:

•Assess training needs of Western Growers Insurance Services and other associated Western Growers staff.
•Develop sales, product, agriculture marketplace, customer service, agency and management system training curriculum and present it in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
•Create job aids and/or training guides for training program participants.
•Write Sales Department related updates for department communications and newsletters.
•Develop professional relationships with all Sales Department staff and act as a resource to questions and/or issues.
•Travel extensively to deliver training.
•Oversee the creation of training materials.
•Develop a Sales Department training calendar.
•Track and report training efforts; maintain records of actual platform training in the event proof of training is required.
•Assess training program effectiveness and develop means of improvement, if necessary.
•All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA degree and/or three to five years of training (content and curriculum development and staff platform-training) experience preferred. Understanding of organizational employee benefits and insurance sales and marketplace dynamics. Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and other information services programs (VISIO, Access and other pertinent programs). Understanding of adult learning concepts and principals. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and exceptional written/verbal communication skills are strongly desired. Must have a clean & verifiable DMV record and ability to travel to regional office locations throughout CA and AZ. (50% Travel)
