The incumbent will oversee and ensure the integrity of financial underwriting activities and process, which impact the profitability of UnitedHealthcare. Responsible for achieving profit, growth, service and expense objectives on assigned book of business Manage a team of underwriters Manage and oversee all account pricing, underwriting, rate setting, accounting, financial analysis, and customer financial agreements for a book of business. Provide guidance to the underwriting staff. Develop the organizations ability to assess risk and improve processes; increase the technical knowledge of staff members. Represent the underwriting function in customer meetings and client/broker interactions when appropriate. Observe and analyze financial results and initiate required action with appropriate parties. Work closely with VP and/or customer to develop profit, persistency, and sales plans to achieve organizational performance objectives.

College degree in Finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
10+ years of group insurance/financial experience.
Client / broker experience, case management experience.
3+ years of managing staff.
