Technician Field Services - Telecom PBX, POS, PC

Overview:
Under general supervision, provides on-site diagnosis, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, set up and repair of FSG systems. May refer more complex problems to next appropriate level of support or receive direct guidance for their resolution.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Preferred candidate should have strong background supporting Siemen's/Rolm 9751 multinodal telephony switching systems and Siemen's/Rolm 6.1 PhoneMail systems. Experience with additional telephony switching systems I.E Siemen's/Rolm 8000 platform and or Lucent Technologies platforms will be acceptable as well. Must have strong electronics aptitude and willingness to learn new skills / technology. Can work independently to resolve problems. Have the necessary skills to support Telecom, Communication, PC, POS and other FSG supported systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: Must have a minimum 3 years experience with the Siemens/Rolm, troubleshooting PBX hardware issues, station troubles. 3+ years of experience with PC builds, Server builds/upgrades, Auto Attendant, and basic MAC skills. Must have solid experience in LAN Management and LAN infrastructures including cabling and connectivity, public and private network problem solving. Strong knowledge of data network connectivity.and RF technology. Strong customer focus. Sense of urgency and flexible to changing circumstances and customer needs. Strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and time management skills. Strong conceptual abilities. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Must posses a high level of teamwork skills. Strong knowledge of PC's, understanding and use of Windows Operating System, Windows Office products and communication software. Must be able to technically support MS software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Candidate should possess strong verbal, written, organizational and analytical skills. Proven experience in Point of Sale technology including back office architecture and strong troubleshooting skills. Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain collaborative partnerships with other FSG personnel and our business partners.
