General Requirements
Candidates should have 6+ years of proven experience as a statistician, preferably with experience in managed service industry or a company that does business with the government sector.

Key Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Director, Operational Analysis of Siemens Maintenance Services, LLC (SMS).

Job Duties Include:

Collect, process, analyze, and report on metrics and quality control data to meet specific customer reporting requirements (CDRL’s, dashboards, etc.)

Perform various statistical tests to identify problems/areas for improvement, or risk, in company and customer operations

Develop statistical models for equipment reliability and lifecycle costs

Communicate/present analysis results and recommendations as required

Identify, develop, and implement new statistical measures and techniques as part of continuous improvement process

Provide mathematical and statistical expertise to organization

Prepare and maintain statistical summaries and comprehensive files of statistical data

Provide technical guidance on statistical policies, procedures, and programs.

The successful candidate must possess the following:


Ability to use computer-based data and operating systems, programming languages, and statistical applications or packages.

Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization as well as interact with external customers

Ability to work independently

Proven experience in parametric statistics including but not limited to regression, forecasting, hypothesis testing, ANOVA and non-parametric techniques

Flexible work style and ability to adapt positively to changing conditions and work requirements

Supervision Received
Works under minimal supervision – reviews typically focus on results.

Frequent inter-organizational and external customer contacts.
