We currently have an opening for a Power Systems TechnicianPRIMARY DUTIES:Inspect and operate equipment to determine problem(s) and appropriate repair procedure(s).Repair total unit including engine, fuel system and supporting systems.Test generators and engines to make sure repairs are complete and accurate.Diagnoses and repairs and repairs Automatic Transfer Switches, Uninterruptible Power Systems and Paralleling Switchgear.Diagnoses and repairs Modems and Wireless remote monitoring and computer control systems.Requisition required parts and return properly when unused.Accurately complete detailed service reports and account for time on each job.NOTES:Position is subject to extended work hours as business dictates. REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or the equivalentMinimum 3 years experience required in the planning and completion of repairs on commercial engines, power generation equipment, and related components under field conditions whenever and wherever needed without supervision.Ability to repair or recondition generator and engine components.Ability to design and fabricate custom components.Ability to remove generator and engine components.Ability to troubleshoot and determine appropriate repair procedure(s) for generators and engines.Ability to maintain Company required records and reports.Ability to read and understand manuals, schematics and related literature.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.Ability to work odd and/or additional hours.Ability to work with limited supervision.Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers and co-workers.Must maintain a current valid driver’s license, a clean driving record and must be able to pass DOT driver physical as required for 1 ton truck., (CDL when required ).CareerBuilder Related Terms: service tech, service technician, field technician
