Microwave Technician

PDS Technical Services is a provider of contract staffing to fortune 100-1000 companies in the Engineering and IT arenas.

We are seeking a RF Microwave Technician to perform the following duties:
* Performs adjustment, alignment, troubleshooting, and test of electronic subassemblies to customer specifications using standard and special test equipment and established test procedures.
* Adjust, align and test circuitry for discrete and hybrid microwave assemblies.
* Experience in using test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal sources, network analyzers, ect.) to tune and test microwave product such as oscillators, transceivers, synthesizers and other such devices.
* Determine test setup configurations to measure required performance parameters.
* Able to work with chip, die and microminiature components under a microscope.
* Record analyze and interpret test data and its effect on unit performance.
* Work from schematics, assembly drawings, rough sketches and verbal instructions.
* Document flow process completions and rejections.
* Clearance needed (a Secret Clearance less than 2 years can generally be reactivated).
* Assignment is temp to perm (depending on needs).
REQUIREMENTS
* Secret Clearance
* 3+ years experience as Microwave Technician
* Experience in the alignment of low noise amplifiers (LAN) and high power amplifiers (HPA) in the range of 500 MHz to 18.0 GHz
* Hybrid chip and wire assemblies with MMIC integration assemblies.
* Experience in the use of scalar analyzers and some amplifier theory background.
* Experience in the alignment of YIG filters and oscillators in the range of 2.0 GHz to 18.0 GHz.
*Experience in the alignment of voltage control oscillators (VCO) in the range of 1.0 GHz to 18.0 GHz
* Experience with hybrid chip and wire assembly with MMIC integration assemblies
* Experience with sweep measurements
