Maintenance Mechanic III

Here’s what you’ll do:
Perform machinery and equipment examinations to troubleshoot for defects/visual wear in operation. Note: some equipment contains PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and will require ladder logic analysis.Perform electrical and motor testing; fuse/continuity checks; voltage/resistance/current relationships.Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, various types of pipe layout, steel layout and welding)Perform routine Preventive Maintenance on manufacturing equipmentFollow company Safety Guiles, such as Lock out/Tag out, confine space permit and proper use of personal protection equipmentRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsCompute rate, ratio and percent and create and interpret bar graphsRead /follow blue prints, and draw simple schematics.Write maintenance routine reports and correspondenceInstall, upgrade and retrofit equipment.Our culture is employee-oriented, respectful and exceptionally safety-conscious. REQUIREMENTS
Here’s what is required:
Minimum three years experience in an industrial environment working within an electrical AND mechanical maintenance department or equivalentStrong electrical background for new installations and retrofit, repair, and upgrade experience with older manufacturing equipmentStrong Mechanical experienceExtensive experience with various types of hand and power tools and calibration instrumentsExperience with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and understanding of power principlesMaintenance and repair of plant equipment, systems, machines, tools and facilitiesKnowledge of proper chemical handling, acid hazards and proper techniques for handling materials (MSDS)Ability to read/follow schematics and blueprintsKnowledge of Ohm’s Law (Electrical formulas and equations) and NEC (National Electric Code)High school diploma or GED equivalent AND two-year technical trade school/college related to electrical AND mechanical trades
Forklift and PLC Training CertificateGreat interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skillsMicrosoft Applications experience such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Scheduling flexibility or ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift
Bilingual (Spanish/English) desirable
