ELECTRICAL WORKERS - Levels 1 through 4

Electrical Workers

Assist in all aspects of installation, alteration, demolition, maintenance and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors, assemblies, and associated materials and equipment on all types of projects within the electrical construction industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Must demonstrate the mechanical aptitude, mathematical skills, and literacy skills to satisfactorily perform the primary duties and responsibilities of the position.

Requires minimum high school diploma or accredited G.E.D. certificate and minimum (1) year related experience.

Depending on level of experience, tasks may include:

Perform basis tasks of material handling, jobsite housekeeping, tool and equipment maintenance and general labor.

Under general supervision dig trenches and excavations by use of hand tools and power equipment.

Assist in underground conduit installation; mounting, securing, and installing of electrical raceways, fixtures and systems; and in wire pulling procedures.

Assist in operation of cable pullers, cable feeders, and hydraulic benders.

Under general supervision perform basic and large wire terminations, assemble pre-fabricated systems, bend conduit with hand benders and operate hand threading equipment.

Identify and install common devices, trim, boxes, fittings, and wire as directed by verbal instruction or field sketches.

Terminate panels, motors, controls and transformers under general supervision.

Size basic conduit and boxes.

Assist in EEW / LOTO procedures, metering and testing as required.

Perform basic layouts from field sketches and blueprint references.

Perform all assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, field sketches, blueprints and project specifications.

Utilize NEC code book as needed.

Understand and follow verbal and written jobsite directions.

Understand and abide by Corbin's Electric customer policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Perform other project related duties and assignments as instructed by Supervisor.

May be called upon to perform the duties of an Electrical Helper.
