Crew Supervisor

The Crew Supervisor is responsible for Training and Supervising the daily activities of the Utility Technician staff to include laying pipes and water lines, installing water meters.

Responsibilities of the Crew Supervisor include
Ability to safely operate a back-hoe, probing rod, motor vehicle, portable generators, pumps, chain saws, chop saws, jacks and sewer cleaning machine,
Ensure efficient and effective operation of the crew team
Ensure schedules and operating policies and procedures are followed.
Make recommendations regarding improved operating systems and procedures.
Provide technical guidance and assistance to crew members.
Organize emergency repairs in plants
Advise purchasing department on the equipment required for the job(s)
Ensure grounds maintenance is complete after the completion of assignment
Respond to call outs and after hour emergencies
Excavate with mechanical equipment and hand tools
Clean and wash vehicles, tools, and equipment
Create and complete work orders
Diagnose problems and perform repairs in water and sewer systems
Install and repair water and sewer taps
Installs water lines, sewer lines, manholes, cleanouts, meter sets, etc.
REQUIREMENTS

Ability to safely operate a Back-Hoe

Valid Class A commercial drivers license

Supervisory/Leadership experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Thorough knowledge of two or more major pieces of equipment

Ability to identify problems and determine the appropriate course of action

Good verbal and written communication skills
