Install, maintain, repair, calibrate and test a wide variety of pneumatic and electronic recording, indicating, controlling, and test instruments used in a manufacturing facility. Support control system hardware and software in a networked environment. This includes control system and process trouble shooting and repair. Must be familiar with instrumentation principles, methods, equipment, and operating characteristics of electronic components and microprocessors.
Supporting Activities: Must have the ability to multitask, conduct systematic troubleshooting efficiently, and work with minimal supervision. Must respond to after hours phone calls and fix failed equipment. Assist Engineering with systems/equipment modifications. Must comply with all environmental, safety and health requirements, and promote a safe working environment.
REQUIREMENTS
2 to 4 year technical degree; 2 years instrumentation/controls experience. Certified Instrument technician desired. Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with HART protocol, batching systems; Wonderware HMI; mass flow meters and load cells. Experience programming Allen Bradley PLC5 and/or ControlLogix PLCs Able to carry 50 lbs, climb stairs, work at heights, and fix/replace instrumentation in confined areas.
