Web Developer

6 Month contract to start.
Large company which maintains high-profile websites is looking for a highly skilled developer with strong front-end experience and a solid working knowledge of the back-end, all the way down to the database. The Software Development Engineer will design, build and maintain a variety of web-based software applications and services. The work will primarily involve JSP, CSS, HTML and JavaScript work, along with substantial XML configuration, and some Java and SQL. The ideal candidate has worked on high-traffic consumer-facing web sites, is flexible in the face of changing requirements, and has broad experience.

REQUIREMENTS
Key technical skills include:

Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and cross browser compatibility issues
Strong knowledge of Java Server Pages (JSP), Tomcat, and a variety of standard tag libraries (ie JSTL)
Experience with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and CVS
A working knowledge of Linux and Apache.
Ruby on Rails knowledge preferred, but not required.


Experience Requirements:

2 years web development (HTML/CSS), 4+ preferred
1 year Java/JSP, 2+ preferred
