Web Designer / Content Programmer

Functional Area: US TechnologiesPosition Description: Responsible for content development and programming. Responsible for the management, maintenance and tracking of Internet Requests for usairways.com and usairwaysvacations.com. Develops and manages weekly marketing e-mails for US Airways, US Airways Vacations, Dividend Miles and any other direct e-mail marketing campaigns. Creates graphics and images for web site usage and third party online advertising. Performs project management and testing of website content development and enhancements. Assists with the implementation of Internet strategies. Create, develop and modify graphics (images) using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photo Photoshop. Implement new marketing/content relationships and works with on-line vendors to establish partnerships and link exchanges. Work with other US Airways departments to create new web pages and links. Monitor Internet trends and proposes competitive actions. Is expected to learn and implement new Internet technologies as they become available. Assists with implementation of internet strategies. Creates graphics and images for banner advertising and general web site usage, including Flash (w/action-scripting) and other rich-media technologies. Supports the design and development of weekly marketing e-mails for various areas of US Airways including various marketing and loyalty programs. Monitor Internet industry design trends and proposes competitive actions. Assists with implementation of internet strategies as they relate to the branding and overall creative look-and-feel of our US Airways’ web sites
REQUIREMENTS
Union: NoEducation: Bachelors DegreeExperience: 3 - 5 YearsPosition Requirements: Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in Web Design/Development, Graphic Design, Information Architecture, or related field.
At least 3 years experience with Internet technologies
Travel Industry and Internet business experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Ability to create, develop and modify graphics (images) using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for web page distribution
Ability to create, develop and program web pages and forms using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML, and Flash for web page distribution
Travel agency experience preferred
Ability ro work well under pressure, handle high volume work load, and meet deadlines and revenue growth goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
