VB.net Developer

Purpose: Our client in South Orange County is looking for an Applications Developer with strong VB 6 and SQL Server experience to join a team of 7.

This person will be responsible 60-70% of the time doing Applications maintenance on the LOS(loan origination) system and the other 30-40% will be spent doing ad hoc reporting requested by business users using SQL, Business Objects or Crystal Reports. This candidate will only be responsible for Business logic and database and will not being doing user interface support. For applications maintenance candidate will be responding to tickets/ errors on the system and taking action up to and including troubleshooting and or escalating to another developer. Troubleshooting will include development and updates to software enhancements, document software and changes, bug fixes, etc while adhering to SW standards & SDLC. Additional roles will include analysis of development change requests, develop functional specification documentation and review functional specifications with the business users and peers for approval. Candidate will also be responsible for developing complete unit and system test plans as well as detailed execution plans-do system testing. Other duties include working with QA to resolve issues, Track tasks,manage priorities, and update progress in the incident tracking system. Candidate will be utilizing change control system for all code changes.

Technical Qualifications: **STRONG with Visual Basic 6.0, N-Tier Programming standards, and Object Oriented Programming standards. MTS/COM+, Crystal Reports or Business Objects is desired. Must have good knowledge of standard communication tools such as word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, etc. Must be strong with T-SQL (MSSQL), and related tools and utilities. Must have working knowledge of one or more design methodologies, Windows (95/NT/2000) operating systems. Candidate must have great communication skills and.
