VB Developer

Purpose: TEKsystems and their partner located in Mesa, AZ are seeking a Senior VB Developer.

Description:
The Sr. VB Developer will be involved in hands-on development of
internal business applications using VB 6. This will involve the
design, coding, and support for both new and existing applications that
connect to SQL Server systems.
Requirements:
4 -6 years of experience in Microsoft Visual Basic (VB), Design, Coding
and Testing.
2 years of solid knowledge and extensive experience with connecting to
MS SQL Server databases.
Expertise in process performance tuning and optimization ? db design,
indexes, distributed views
Basic understanding of database design ? relational integrity,
normalization, various schemas.
Solid background of full life-cycle design, implementation, backup,
support and integration with front-end applications
Work directly with end users on a daily basis to capture requirements
and implement features.
Tests releases according to various testing methodologies and
coordinates with operations on application updates.
Additional Skills:
Experience with customer relationship management applications, billing,
and mailing systems.
Source code management using Microsoft VSS
