Technical Writer

Our client is looking for a seasoned aerospace technical writer for a 3-6 month contract opportunity.
Duties will include:

Taking direction from the Lead Engineer and using information provided by the Lead Engineer or other Engineers (usually OEM source documentation, such as ServiceBulletins) to write aircraft maintenance procedures, task cards, and diagrams to support aircraft modifications.

Review and verify that technical data changes submitted to Technical Publications are adequate and correct prior to incorporating them into any technical document.

Create/Revise maintenance task cards, manuals, and other publications to comply with approved technical change requests, Engineering Orders (EOs), and other official directives.

Requirements:

- Technical writing background

Experience writing on aircraft documentation

Experience with Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Maintenance Manuals, etc. is helpful

Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Engineering background is a plus, but not a requirement

Expertise in Word, Acrobat; any knowledge of CAD a plus
