JOB TITLE: Systems Analyst Programmer
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position provides software development and application support for ITS Network Management Systems. The soft ware development role will result in the delivery of automations, ie automated tic.
This individual will be primarily responsible for development and maintenance of web based and third party applications. Responsibilities include working with clients to determine business requirements, technical translation, developing complex designs, coding, testing, trouble shooting and change control all in a team environment. The individual chosen will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be able communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members. In addition, the individual chosen will have a well-developed set of analytical problem solving and trouble shooting skills. This position will focus on telecom network management applications.
Experience Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other technical discipline. 2 - 3 years experience with Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) or MS .NET, Javascript, and HTML. 2 - 3 years experience with Oracle or SQL Server. Experience to include SQL and stored procedure development. 2 - 3 years experience working with Network Management or enterprise package software. Experience working in a UNIX environment (HP-UX or SUN Solaris).
Preferred Experience:
Experience using MS Visual Interdev and MS .NET to develop and test applications. Experience working with a formal life cycle methodology. Experience with a formal process control methodology (CMM, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, ISO 9000, etc…). Background with the telecom industry specifically Data and Voice products/services. Experience with Remedy ARS Customization and Development Background with Network Management Solutions and Protocols.
