opportunities are constantly arising within our organization!Job Title: Switch Technician IIDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual

requirements for a Switch Technician Level Two includes knowledge of the
operation and maintenance of the DMS 500 Switch. Understands the operation of
Fiber distribution panels and fiber jumpers. Knows fiber restoration procedures
and ability to perform fiber rolls and grooms. Ability to perform turn up
testing and repair of OC-3 through DSO circuits. Keeps the DC power plant and
Emergency AC generators functioning within specifications. Perform DSX cross
connections per MetaSlov database, proficient knowledge on use of Remedy
database. Knowledge of DACS equipment along with CISCO and Ericsson equipment.
Supports other departments by providing corrective actions to trouble reports,
assist Network Operations Center, and Switch Control Center as required.
Maintain a proficient rating in the operation of all field test sets. Monitor
and take corrective actions for site environmental equipment including HVAC and
Fire protection systems, protect confidential information, observe and
participate in vehicle and office safety programs and keep office clean and
secure at all times. Other duties may be assigned. See attachments for specific

Other duties may be assigned.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent and an
Associates Degree in Electronics or related field and a minimum of 2 to 3 years
related telecommunication experience and/or equivalent combination of education
and experience. Knowledge of DMS500 switch and site digital Cross Connect System
desired.
Must possess current valid State driver’s licenses.
Standing, sitting, use hands and fingers at computer and talking on telephone,
may require a maximum of 50 pounds to be lifted and may require climbing a
