Software Developer

TASER Internatioanl, Inc is seeking a Software Developer. This position develops applications that have been designed during the Requirements / Design phases of the project life cycle. They act as the primary resource in developing the necessary code for the project application. This person will need to be able to understand the SDLC model and what their specific activities are in delivering a solid, robust application, to understand coding standards and source code development standards to be able to develop code that is clean, understandable, maintainable and solid, to develop and implement solid test plans to accurately test the application code, functions, modules and program and to maintain detailed and accurate documentation per all project standards. Also to maintain and enhance existing software.
REQUIREMENTS
• Responsible for all aspects of the development and delivery of applications for each project.
• Develop applications to include: code development per project coding standards, development of test plans, code and module testing, application debugging, implementation of code that follow efficient design techniques and code development that meets and exceeds the intent of the design of the application.
• Effectively manage the day-to-day tasks and activities to effectively meet the project deliverables and schedule
• Communicate effectively in both verbal (i.e. day-to-day discussions, project team meetings, requirements / project meetings, etc.) and written (requirements and design specifications documents, code development, project status reports – both internal and external, day-to-day letters and e-mail correspondence, meeting notes, project summaries, technical documentation, etc.) form – as well as have an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications
• Accurately track and report project task, activity, documentation, time information per project standards (i.e. daily submission, detailed accounting of activities, follow up documentation, etc.).
• Accurately assess the risks of the development of an application and include those risks in the change request
• Support the development of team members from a professional and technical level
• Effectively manage multiple priorities from one or more applications
• Experience developing, debugging and deploying ASP.NET 1.1 applications under Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0
• Experience with MPEG4 software decoders
• Experience building Windows Forms applications in C#.NET with Visual Studio.NET 2003
• Creating and debugging device drivers with the Windows DDK using assembly language and C++
• Using the Microsoft Installer to package and deploy applications
• Experience using Web services using SOAP and XMLHTTP
• Experience using industry standard tools like NMAP, Ethereal, and QualysGuard for manual and automated network scanning and vulnerability analysis.
