Senor Java Developer

Datatel's Software Development Division has an exciting new opportunity for a team-oriented Senior Java Developer with experience in developing tools and technology. This position plays an essential role in Datatelâ??s on-going effort to create the best software solutions in the Higher Education marketplace.

The primary responsibilities for the Senior Java Developer will be to design and implement components of Datatelâ??s new Integrated Development Environment (IDE).

We are looking for an individual interested in working with diverse application projects using industry best practices. Candidates must enjoy working in a team environment with minimal supervision.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
4+ years of development experience with complex business systems or extensive technical expertise of Datatel products.
4+ years of development experience in Java.
Experience working with XML-based technologies.
Experience in object-oriented design
Experience implementing plug-ins to the Eclipse framework
Experience of building GUI with SWT and JFace.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
Proven ability to learn quickly and independently, and to work in a technically complex environment.


Desired:

Experience with UML Modelling Techniques.
Familiarity working in higher education.
Envision development experience.
Experience of at least two different structured programming languages.
