Responsibilities:
Senior Staff is responsible for defining network requirements,
conducting technical research, and recommending network solutions to
our business partners. You will focus on the internet, load balancing
and SSL infrastructure and other data center network technologies.
You will propose and justify solutions and have demonstrated the
ability to gather requirements, analyze alternatives, provide cost
analysis, test options, configure devices, recommend, document and
communicate highly technical strategy and designs.
Senior Staff consults with Business Technology Units and Business
Units on a complex analysis of systems, and drive for optimal
integrated end to end designs. Individual must have worked in an
Enterprise Environment that demands a highly reliable, highly
resilient, growing network environment with respect to LAN, load
balancing and data center technologies.
Qualifications:
Ten plus years experience in data networking and preferably
with at least five in an engineering capacity focusing on ISP
and data center design.
Strong communication skills and the ability to create
presentations and technical papers on subject.
Solid knowledge of Internet systems, ISP routing, route
tuning, MPLS and Voice/Network convergence technologies such
as VoIP. Cisco Switches Expertise in the 65xx(w/ MSFCs),VACL
knowledge in the 65xx a must.
Experience working with vendors to improve existing
relationships, understand product roadmaps, define future
capabilities, and ensure product support.
Extensive experience with Cisco enterprise class switches and
routers including experience with EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, RIP
routing protocols, spanning tree, multicast, QOS, MPLS and
security protocols.
CCNP/CCIE certification preferred. Knowledge of/Experience
with all aspects of technology life cycle.
REQUIREMENTS
CCNP/CCIE certification required, voice/data networking expertise
