About the Position:
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee a small project or phase(s) of a larger project to ensure that goals and/or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters, as well as within established firm guidelines and standards.
Essential Functions:
* Familiarizes self and others with the project scope and objectives by conferring with clients to determine and define project outcomes, critical success pathways and feasibility. This includes negotiating and implementing customer change requests, as needed.
* Coordinates the activities of a project team, which includes, but is not limited to identifying the appropriate resources needed and developing schedules to ensure the timely completion of the project.
* Develops a work plan and staffing for each phase of the project and may recruit or assign project personnel as necessary. Confers with project staff to outline work plan to assign duties, responsibilities and cope of authority.
* Establishes and achieves financial objectives by preparing a project budget, scheduling and approving expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
* Provides status reports to project directors and clients to keep them apprised of progress and any anticipated issues. This includes performing quality assurance activities to ensure customer requirements are successfully met.
* Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Manages the day-to-day workflow of professional IT staff. This position also participates in hiring, performance evaluations, and making pay decisions.
Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years total experience, with 2 as a Project Manager. Experience with some type of ERP/CRM/HRMS and knowledge of SQL are both required. PeopleSoft Human Capital Management experience is strongly desired and SQR, ePay, or eBenefits experience is a big plus.
