PHP Web Developer

VISIONN, a rapidly growing creative agency based in Tempe, AZ has an immediate opening for a PHP Programmer/Developer working within a team developing HTML/DHTML, PHP and MySQL applications for new and existing clients. This includes developing Web sites featuring e-commerce shopping carts and complex search functionalities as well as content management systems, extranets and intranets. We are looking for someone who is creative, a very good software and database designer, can work independently, has good communications skills and can brainstorm with the team on new ideas.

This position requires strong understanding of Web development technologies and design. Hands-on skill and experience is necessary as well as good communication skills and professionalism. The position requires a quality-oriented, self-starting individual. The ability to work on multiple projects is essential as well as skill in planning, organizing, and managing time across multiple tasks and projects. Must have an ability to quickly understand and utilize new technologies. Requires some interaction with clients.

Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, the person will:
Be responsible for the development of new solutions, using industry standard technologies with XHTML/DHTML, PHP and JavaScript.
Provide input on Web platform design and configuration to maximize application performance.
Develop Web applications that connect to backend relational databases (such as MySQL).
Recommend solutions for new applications and enhancements for existing applications.

Employment:
Primarily seeking full-time, on-site employee. In addition, will also consider, full or part-time local contractors. MUST be local to the Phoenix, AZ area. No offshore outsourcing or long-distance telecommuting will be considered.

REQUIREMENTS
1+ years of hands-on PHP4/5, including strong, object-oriented, Web application development experience.
1+ years of experience with SQL.
2+ years of experience with HTML/DHTML.
2+ years of experience with JavaScript.
2+ years of experience with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and ability to implement large-scale projects utilizing CSS layout.
Highly desired - experience with all major operating systems including Macintosh, Windows, Linux, UNIX, FreeBSD.
Highly desired - experience with Internet and graphics software including multiple applications (Zend, Textmate, HomeSite, GoLive, DreamWeaver, Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Knowledge of XML a strong plus.
Light design experience and/or server administration experience are strong pluses.
Given the nature of our projects, candidate must have the ability to work very well under pressure, and keep abreast of current technology.
Excellent project management and multi-tasking capabilities.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills with little supervision.
Bachelors Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or other related technology field a huge plus.
