Network Design Specialist
- Responsible for network infrastructure improvements and maintenance in our Client's Enterprise IT, wireless IT network infrastructures.
- Analysis, design, architecture, implementation and support of LAN/MAN/WAN/FCIP/iSCSI/WAP/L2-7/NAM, Content, routing protocols, Metro Ethernet, switches, routers, network appliances, AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounting/ Radius and Tacacs+ implementations), security and network upgrades, PVLAN's, STP, VTP, ACL's, BGP4, EIGRP, maintenance, design and support.
- Responsible for CSLA's (Customer Service Level Agreements), installations, reviews, performance, time, monitoring, network and account management, troubleshooting, project and program management in the Client's enterprise network consisting of acute care hospitals, clinics, and other facilities located in Arizona, California, and Nevada.
- Conduct detailed site network assessments and prepare network design proposals.
- Develop and execute network upgrades, design, implementation and operational plans, including advice on equipment procurement, vendor engagement, management, change and service control management, logistics.
- Perform analysis of reliability, manageability, FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security) monitoring and scope projected growth of critical and non critical network and storage network areas.
- Facilitate staff knowledge transfer and task prioritization to remainder of the team members.
- Maintain real time network documentation, naming conventions, IP space, application specific information and detailed network diagrams.
Participate in 7 X 24 the on-call rotation to support production systems during and after normal business hours.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Skills:
2+ years of Cisco WLSE and WCS wireless experience required.
2+ years experience in network design/engineering networking role.
Desired Skills:
Cisco CCNP / CCDP / CCIE certifications desired.
Healthcare experience a plus.
