This position will be responsible for designing and maintaining the testing environment for software development that includes test cases, formal test plans, methodologies, and procedures by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Creates & maintains testing environment with detailed test plans, test cases, test suites, test scripts, and test scenarios based on software requirements.

Designs test schedules according to project deadlines, utilizing strong project management skills.

Collaborates with engineers to assure that testing requirements are clear and well documented prior to testing.

Documents all testing procedures.

Develops automated test methods.

Implements appropriate test procedures for Web-based software and hardware products.

Discovers, isolates, and documents development defects.

Maintains defect database to identify trends and solutions.

Communicates defects and verifies solutions with the development team.

Completes testing in a timely manner by working closely with the release planning team.

Develops custom test tools and methodologies as needed.

Mercury Testing Suite (including Test Director, WinRunner, & LoadRunner)
Familiary with SQL Server 2000+ and Oracle 9i+
IIS
IE
Microsoft .NET
Windows XP+
Virtual PC's
Citrix Server
Crystal Reports a plus
Experience with coding desirable
Strong oral and written communication skills with various roles/levels
