Lockheed Martin Information Technology - Professional Services is seeking an Information Technology (IT) System Administrator. The selected candidate will: load, configure, and maintain classified and unclassified Windows XP-based notebook/desktop personal computers and small server systems; configure, set up, and maintain a small deployable classified Local Area Network (LAN); perform hardware and software troubleshooting of notebook/desktop personal computers, servers, printers, network devices (hubs, switches and cables), and associated peripheral devices; isolate faults in defective hardware or software, and repair same by removing and replacing defective components, cards, or cables IAW applicable equipment warranties, or reinstalling, upgrading, or reconfiguring application or operating system software; maintain hardware and software inventories IAW U.S. Army regulations, and perform all applicable warranty actions with hardware and software suppliers; schedule and perform back-ups of organizational application/file servers and notebook/desktop computer systems as required; deploy on field training exercises to set up and maintain a deployable classified LAN and MSO database; research, develop, and recommend future hardware and software requirements, and conduct liaison and coordination with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, and industry suppliers to identify and obtain emerging technologies for course inclusion; conduct platform instruction and mentoring of students in the use of current and emerging DoD and U.S. Army MSO database systems and associated applications; assist in determining course content and student learning objectives; prepare course syllabi, lesson plans, and student materials, to include practical exercises, handouts and manuals; evaluate training materials and procedures, and revise lesson plans and performance-based exercises to keep courses current; maintain class records; and write, administer, and score classroom and performance-based tests. This is a full-time position located at Ft. Huachuca, AZ. May involve extended work hours (up to 16 hours per day during TDY periods). Up to 2-3 weeks temporary travel in the Southwest USA required. REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizen with a current DoD Secret security clearance. This position requires five years experience in the Military Intelligence IT field; a background in CI/HUMINT or SOF Intel is preferred, but not required; requires proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based systems, to include Windows XP, 2000, and Server 2003, to include associated networking protocols and devices; requires proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, DoD and Army MSO database software, and peripheral application software (such as Adobe Photoshop, etc.);completion of a certified DoD or U.S. Government Instructor Training Course (ITC) required (if not currently qualified, the selected candidate will be scheduled to attend ITC training); must possess expert English communication skills to instruct, evaluate, and counsel students in subtle and difficult concepts of the subject matter; must be capable of working in small groups. Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of professional experience; or 4 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
