Casey Family Programs is a national operating foundation that provides, improves – and ultimately prevents the need for – foster care. Currently, we are seeking a Family Developer to facilitate the placement of foster youth into foster parent care, guardianship, and adoptive care.

The incumbent will recruit, screen and evaluate prospective families for their suitability for providing quality care. Responsibilities also include representing CFP in a public relations capacity, giving presentations within the community to promote our mission and the critical need for families, preparing home studies and family assessments, maintaining records and documentation, providing on-going support to families, and facilitating foster parent trainings. The successful candidate must be able to network and form relationships with local communities of color and local child placement agencies so that collaboration efforts can be maximized.
REQUIREMENTS
Required qualifications include a MSW and 2 years of relevant experience in foster care service. Specific experience in successful recruitment and retention of families, family systems work and working successfully and respectfully within a multicultural environment is preferred, as is knowledge of local and national laws, policies and procedures governing foster family licensure.
