Full Job Title: Deputy Director, Enterprise Solutions and Support (SRA Infrastructure)
Daily Responsibilities: Oversee projects during their entire life-cycle - proposal, requirements gathering, design, development, unit testing, functional and performance testing, deployment plans, training, communication, rollout, post-production support and transition to maintenance
Evaluate/Oversee evaluation of proposed tools/applications/solutions to determine functional and technical feasibility, fit into current architecture and operability in conjunction with other existing systems
Hold Initial conversations and discussions with vendors, attend/organize demos, finalize contract details such as pricing, support model, and general terms and conditions
Act as Technical advisor across the board
Collect and analyze metrics
Provide guidance on production issues and troubleshooting activities
Provide joint oversight for Client-Services support organization (consisting of ~30 resources). This group is responsible for:
Providing desktop support (answering tickets and phone calls) to all SRA employees
Deploying patches and upgrades for Desktop Operating System (Windows), Microsoft Office and other standard end-user applications
Deploying new hardware (PCs and desktops)
Roll out desktop related technology
Provide weekly and monthly updates and reports to management
Tracks planned against actual budgets across various cost categories - labor, consultant and capital expenses
Work with Sector and leverage team representatives to understand sector needs, and how IT systems and solutions can enable them to work more efficiently. Work with them to gain an understanding of areas that are broken or can be improved
Mentor Project Managers
Project initiatives - upon approval finalize scope, prioritize, schedule, staff, and work with IMS group to get resources
Must be able to clearly articulate a vision, approach and strategy to various audiences - from CEO work team to the individual team member Required: Years of experience (min) 10+ Required: Degree None Required: Skills System concepts - Hardware, Operating Systems, Databases, Networking, Security
Exposure to Enterprise Applications, system integration, project execution from start to finish
Prior hands-on working experience is essential.
Minimum experience is 10 years, out of which at least 3-4 years should be in a similar managerial role.
