eLearning / Web-based Training Designer – T&OD Department


The Training and Organization Development (T&OD) Department is transforming from a traditional training department to a Center of Excellence for blended learning solutions and diverse T & OD interventions; as well as raising the quality standards of it’s existing traditional learning solutions.

The primary purpose of this job is to create on-line courses, update existing courses, migrate licensed course content into Accredited templates, and develop job aids for Instructor-led classroom experiential learning solutions.

These solutions will include interaction with various levels of staff and management to, assess training needs, secure their cooperation as subject matter experts, and solicit program support or sponsorship.

In addition, this position is responsible for administration of courses located on our Learning Management System; and occasionally helping online course users with password / access issues.


POSITION SUMMARY
Collaborate in the design, storyboarding, experiential interface, graphics, and some voice/sound editing for on-line course development. Maintain and update on-line courseware. Maintain and update Learning Management System. Assist instructional designers with formatting, graphics, and other design elements.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstration of skill and experience are most important. Familiarity with eLearning, instructional design, and adult learning principles.


COMPUTER SKILLS
Intermediate to Advanced skills in the following software is preferred: Flash, Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and MS Office. Intermediate skills are required for HTML and Java Script.

Knowledgeable of the typical basic features and functionality of Learning Management Systems.
