Responsible for providing employment and placement capability to ensure the offering of qualified candidates to management and identifying internal growth opportunities for successful employees. Oversees recruiting, screening, placement, and transfers of potential and current employees. Develops and maintains college relation programs. Ensures that employment and placement activities conform with federal and state laws. Handles special projects, as assigned. Partners with HR Managers to ensure functional requirements are met regarding new staffing requirements. Travel as required to selected Career Fairs. Participates in college and University recruiting to support established programs Inform applicants of job openings and details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, and promotion opportunities. Interview job applicants to match their qualifications with organizational needs, recording and evaluating applicant experience, education, training, and skills. Review employment applications and job orders to match applicants with job requirements, using manual or computerized file searches. Select qualified applicants or refer them to hiring manager, according to organization policy. Perform reference and background checks on applicants. Maintain records of applicants not selected for employment. Contact functional areas to solicit orders for job vacancies, determining their requirements and recording relevant data such as job descriptions. Conduct workshops and demonstrate the use of interviewing techniques for effectiveness and compliance issues. Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs. Interview applicants to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills. Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws. Perform searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals. Prepare and maintain employment records. Contact applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection. Inform potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in organizations. Screen and refer applicants to hiring personnel in the organization, making hiring recommendations when appropriate. Arrange for interviews and provide travel arrangements as necessary. The position is responsible to assist in the meeting of staffing requirement for the Centrilift Division. The position reports to the NA HR Manager on the Vice President of HR’s staff. Solid experience in corporate or retainer-based recruiting. Skills in sourcing & selection of all levels - management, professional, administrative.
