Job Description:

Develop and implement a company wide recruitment strategy that will attract candidates with the right talent for the business needs and align with management priorities. Partner with management in determining workforce needs, defining desired candidate profiles, developing internal and external candidate pipelines, and identifying sourcing opportunities. Ensure compliance with Federal/State and local laws and regulations.

1. Lead the recruitment process, resource planning and candidate selection by remaining current in best practices in recruitment.
2. Partner with people managers to advise them on their roles and responsibilities including defining candidate specifications, conducting effective interviewing, and evaluation criteria.
3. Identify opportunities to position the organization as an employer of choice and sustain strong candidate pipelines.
4. Establish relationships with search firms that result in high potential candidates that are aligned with the organizational culture.
5. Define, collect and report metrics that measure effectiveness of recruitment.
6. Optimize the staffing information system for posting jobs, resume repository, and applicant tracking.
7. Screen and interview applicants and refer qualified candidates to hiring managers, and obtain references.
8. Write and approve employment advertisements in journals and newspapers; independently recommend ideas and formats for ad copy and layouts.
9. Explain salary, benefits, and policies to prospective candidates.
10. Ensure that hiring practices conform to state and federal government regulations.
11. Work with outside agencies to arrange for temporary personnel and consultants as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
College degree with a minimum of five years as a staffing professional required. Proven ability to develop and implement recruitment strategies and creative sourcing alternatives essential. Must be proficient in behavior based interviewing and strong relationship building capabilities. Strong ability to work in a team environment and to interact professionally; excellent communication skills, including verbal and listening skills, required. Must possess strong organization skills, with ability to effectively prioritize and handle a variety of multiple projects simultaneously. Good knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to employment preferred.
