Sr. Benefits Specialist

We are recruiting a Sr. Benefits Specialist for our corporate HR Department in Commerce, CA.99¢ Only Stores is a $1 billion, 10,000 employee, NYSE publicly traded company. We sell all items for 99 cents or less that include brand name and private label food and beverages, health and beauty aids, household goods, toys and much more! From our first store opening in 1982, the Company's chain of stores has expanded to over 240 in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas.Responsibilities for our Senior Benefits Specialist include handling enrollment for life, medical, dental, vision, disability insurance plans, facilitating insurance information for new employee orientation, billing administration including monthly invoice reconciliations of all health care benefits and coordinating insurance COBRA for terminations.This high-powered position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in employee benefits in a 2000+ employee corporation. The candidate must possess an overall understanding of health/welfare benefits including COBRA, HIPAA, and other legal requirements. Experience with Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel is required. Exceptional written and oral communication skills required.
REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must be a self-starter but yet be a team player, naturally analytical and detail oriented with the ability to think independently. The candidate must be flexible, willing/able to understand/respond to change, able to work under periodic pressure to meet tight schedules, and work/communicate well with all levels of management.
