Experienced Instructional designer with exposure to a regulated environment. Focus is on designing electronic training and instructional material for changing business focus.
Assess and define training and performance needs of client population through systematic instructional design methodologies. Utilize information from subject matter experts to design course descriptions, online learning models and full-scale training programs that incorporate adult learning principles to deliver training in an effective manner. Evaluate, select, and use a variety of techniques for determining instructional content and strategies. Utilize training authoring and multimedia tools and software.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the training curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and ensure alignment to business objectives.
Assist in the development of long-range training and development strategy recognizing emerging roles, changes in technology and other considerations. Ensures training modules developed compliment the long-range training and development strategy and support business needs. Maintains awareness of trends and changes in the market.
Expected to function with minimum supervision. It is expected that the employee will determine what actions require management review and input.Willing to consider Jr. Level position at lower grade level based on experience.Qualifications
Instructional designer with a minimum of 3 years healthcare (life sciences) industry experience and exposure to a regulated environment. Focus is on designing electronic training and instructional material. Demonstrated instructional design and development skills including needs analysis, and systematic instructional design methodologies, graphic design and visual support, evaluation, and impact assessment. Must have experience with authoring tools used in e-learning and multimedia technologies such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Trainer, Captivate, SoftSim, and Publisher. Experience with Access, HTML, JavaScript, and XML a plus.Moderate experience in stand-up training or presentation skills a plus. Detail and technical oriented, strong problem solving and project management skills. Possess expert level writing skills, solid communications skills, and be able to work under pressure and within deadline in a constantly changing environment.
BA or BS Education / Instructional Design / Instructional Technology / Training & Development or related field required. Advanced degree in Instructional Design / Instructional Technology / Training & Development or related field preferred.
