Description:
Position provides leadership and direction to members of the U.S. Benefits Service Center team in providing superior service to our customers. The team counsels and provides complex administrative solutions/support to active employees, retirees, managers and other functional areas of Human Resources in understanding and using their health/welfare and retirement benefits. Specific plans include Medical, Dental, Life, Flexible Spending, Defined Benefit Plans, Stock Retirement and Defined Contribution plans, vacation and other voluntary benefits. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing customer service processes to effectively utilize call center tools (call management, case tracking and knowledge base) to measurably improve the delivery of benefits services to our client base. The manager must effectively manage and produce creative solutions for complex benefit projects such as acquisitions and benefit administration systems.
Requirements:
10-15 years in HR with a minimum of 10 years of customer service experience, preferrably in a call center environment.
Benefits administration experience preferred but not required.
Experience working in a shared services environment preferred.
Solid change and conflict management experience.
Training experience concentrating on customer service, phone skills and workflow processes highly desirable.
Must be an effective communicator at all levels of the organization.
Customer Service: Passion for providing excellent customer service required. Acts as trusted advisor on important Benefits decisions. Anticipates identifies and meets internal and external customer needs/expectations. Effectively communicates and negotiates with customers to define service levels. Influences business partners toward optimal solutions.
Problem Solving: Within scope of responsibility, grasps complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues. Sells ideas or changes solution in order to find best practice. Encourages creative thinking in others, to bring forward as many ideas as possible.
Project Management: Leads team in developing and executing a program plan ensuring that authorized resources are obtained to make certain that all activities are formed. Sponsor of identified projects. Proficient in application of common tools for managing project scope, cost schedule and resources.
Risk Management: Assesses and manages strategic risk to best achieve business objectives. Ability to execute while balancing risk with business objectives. Ability to identify and manage risk, have contingency plans.
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field. MBA or Master's degree in HR desired. Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification a plus.
