As our Senior Benefits Design Analyst, you'll provide benefits design consulting for US and non-US benefit plans at Nike and its subsidiary companies. You'll analyze global benefit plan designs and their financial impacts. You'll develop, recommend and present plan design proposals by collecting and analyzing quantitative market data, statistical modeling, regulatory restrictions, local practices and coordinating viewpoints from appropriate parties within and outside of Nike. You'll also design, develop and compose communication materials related to Nike benefits programs, including complex subjects like the value of Nike benefits as part of total compensation, 401(k) investments, ERISA, other regulations, etc. You'll manage the services provided by consultants and carriers, including carrier selection, establishing performance standards, participating in contract negotiations and arranging the financial provisions of plans. You'll review plan documents and contracts for compliance with plan provisions, provide written analysis of potential contract additions and coordinate legal review to ensure that ERISA and other statutory legislative requirements are met. In addition, you'll design, develop and deliver training and informational programs on benefits to other HR professionals and employees at all levels, including executives.



Requirements for the position include:

Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or a related field is preferred
6 years' related experience in benefits
Experience with retirement plans, medical plans, life, AD&D, disability plans, work/life benefits, executive benefits (e.g. non-qual deferred comp plans) and prerequisites
Experience in competitive benefits practices and solid technical knowledge of ERISA, IRS and other regulatory requirements
Understanding of general HR principles and policies
Ability to lead project teams from the design to the implementation stage
Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Strong sense of appropriate/effective/alternative employee communications methods, including associated technologies and communication design trends
Ability to independently manage outside vendors in a cost effective and assertive manner
Experience with global (non-US) benefits strongly preferred
Ability to travel 1 - 3 times/year within and outside the U.S.
