Together you will be responsible for an assigned territory, or Business Unit, and work directly with the business as a strategic partner providing strong leadership to the organization. The HR Rep will be responsible for assisting with the direct HR tasks and employee relation’s issues for his/her business, escalating more complex issues to HR Management. This position will report out of our Human Resources department in Bannockburn, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general direction, provides day-to-day support and coaching with Employee Relation issues, and performance management
Facilitates miscellaneous HR training projects as assigned, such as New Hire Orientation, Workplace Harassment, Code of Business Conduct Standards, New Manager training, and Change Management, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of such
Manages employee flow of questions regarding employment issues, benefit problems, policies and procedures; and resolving problems as they occur
Works with various HR functions to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of those areas to drive consistency, e.g. staffing, compensation, benefits, training, HRIS
Provides general HR administrative support, as requested, including, but not limited to, excel spreadsheet project work, data entry, and mail merges
Maintains and updates HR invoices ensuring timely processing for payment and tracks for historical budgeting purposes
Performs other related duties as required or requested, including but not limited to tracking and reporting turnover statistics for assigned territory, headcount summaries, conducting exit interviews, etcEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating general knowledge of Human Resource policies and procedures, and 4-6 years progressive Human Resource experience
Basic and complex employee relation’s volume requires the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Demonstrates problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions under supervision
Demonstrates excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel, and familiarity with HR Systems
