Payroll Administrator

Classification: Temporary Compensation: Pay up to $14.50 per hour DESC: DESCRIPTION: Provide pension payroll support and assist in the achieving of team goals.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand client business requirements and SSgA systems functionality

Prepare and/or review daily, monthly and off-cycle client funding reports

Analyze monthly pension payroll files, respond to errors, perform file edits, and reconcile against controls

Process off-cycle payment requests

Process requests to re-issuance of checks, returns of monies to trust, overpayments, forgery investigations, ACH tracers, ACH deletions and ACH rejections

Process ledger adjustments and provide PMD (payment maintenance database) update

Post and reconcile ledger activity to year-to-date balance sheets. Conduct weekly audits of other team members? year-to-date balance sheets

Prepare quarterly and annual responses to 945 and state tax reconciliation issues

Process and quality review tax form corrections

Prioritize and manage workload in order to achieve performance standards and timeframe deadlinesMINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in business, math, accounting or equivalent experience

Experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows based applications such as Word and Excel

Excellent analytical, mathematical skills to recognize potential problems

Ability to absorb and interpret complex information

Ability to work well in a team environment

Creative thinker who possesses a strong commitment to process improvements

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Display initiative, resourcefulness and good judgment
Six Sigma experience a plus
