Job Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President - Human Resources North America, this position is responsible for partnering with HR Management/Generalists and Business Unit Managers to establish staffing and diversity strategies, objectives, activities, and processes for the division. This position will hire, manage and develop the staffing team responsible for sourcing, selecting, and recruiting for a diverse pool of qualified candidates across the division. This position will also be responsible for staffing and diversity initiatives, both corporate and divisional, to include but not limited to, related metrics and reporting, budget management, vendor management, college relations/internship program and oversight of the HR applicant tracking system.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Partners with HR Managers and Business Unit Management to establish and guide strategy and execution of the staffing, workforce planning and processes, and diversity initiatives in alignment with company objectives, guidelines, policies and initiatives. Accountable for Staffing and Recruiting budget oversight, monitoring, and analysis.
2. Leadership and direct supervision of recruitment team. Hires, manages and develops the staffing team responsible for sourcing, selecting, and recruiting for a diverse pool of qualified candidates across the division. Acts as a Recruiter for higher-level hires in the division. Assigns recruiters to open requisitions and meets with HR Managers to determine workforce needs and determines a detailed staffing strategy. Discusses position needs, requirements, budget, salary ranges and grades, advertisements, relocation benefits, job posting, and all related activities. Oversees work distribution to the recruiting team and execution of staffing process from the beginning through onboarding. Ensures appropriate communications, including status updates, are being provided.
3. Develops an extensive network of industry contacts, relationships, and sources of qualified applicants. Partners with HR Managers and Hiring Managers to develop their abilities in Talent Management objectives in relation to staffing and diversity. Vendor management responsibilites including, develops relationships and oversees contact with temporary agencies, and local and nationwide recruiters.
4. Develops long and short-term talent acquisition plans including diversity plans, in collaboration with HR and department management. Develops strong relationships with Business Unit Managers, Corporate and Divisional Diversity councils, and other Wyeth divisional HR Staffing and Recruiting team members. Acts as the voice of FDAH and participates on the divisional Diversity Council and recruitment conference calls and forums.
5. Manages the Applicant Tracking System, Job Posting, Metrics and SAP processes relative to staffing and diversity objectives consistent with Company procedures. This includes reports, tracking, and metrics. Analyzes staffing and diversity data and makes recommendations to Management for changes and enhancements.
6. Partners with Generalists to review and analyze data through the site Affirmative Action Plans (AAP), and for ensuring compliance with applicable government staffing laws and regulations at the federal, and state level.
7. Plans, designs, and executes divisional college/minority recruiting, internship, and career fairs programs to ensure that FDAH possesses a diverse source of qualified applicants to effectively meet organizational diversity goals. Regularly interfaces with Wyeth staff on certain corporate initiatives related to staffing and diversity, vendor management, college recruiting, education council, corporate website, and relocation.
8. Partners with HR Managers to determine needs, and makes plans, coordinates, and manages department and organization-wide training and development programs related to staffing and diversity.
9. Acts as the point of contact to manage the division relocation program. Authorizes relocation activities and trains divisional staff and shares information regarding relocation.
10. Responsible for drafting Staffing and Recruitment related EANs for approvals according to division guidelines.
Requirements:
Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree BS/BA degree in HR or related field. Master's degree desirable but not required. PHR or SPHR preferred. The person must have prior success at the management level in a Staffing and Diversity leadership position and has demonstrated the ability to implement improved staffing and recruiting processes, strategy development, and establishment of polices and metrics.
