Manager, Human Resources
As HR Leader, you will provide strategic direction and execution for all HR policies, practices, and programs for the Pueblo Chiller manufacturing facility. Provide HR functional leadership for HR planning, performance management, employee development/training, compensation, compliance, census management, and employee communications for a workforce of 800 associates. Accountable for driving standard of excellence in executing and delivering HR services and HR activities, including effective coordination with staffing, compensation, benefits, etc. Accountable for maintaining a union-free environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain effective and proactive employee relations programs.Prepare strategic HR plans and assist in defining talent management objectives for the organization that are aligned with business objectives specific to Trane Commercial Systems business and in alignment with American Standard platforms.Investigate and respond to internal complaints of discrimination/harassment, including interviewing witnesses and preparing necessary documentation.Provide HR support to appropriate change management issues as required.Implement effective performance management and annual performance review processes.Perform departmental cost planning & budgeting.Focus on leadership development initiatives, succession planning, and compensation issues as required.Provide effective leadership in people development utilizing PDP/HRP processes.Prepare and provide plant HR reports and presentations as required.Develop, administer, and maintain affirmative action plans and conduct affirmative action audits.Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure operation compliance.
Key Competencies & Success Factors:
Position requires broad range of HR functional skills with focus on employee relations and experience in union avoidance measures.Ability to demonstrate confidence in previous cycles of learning.Must be able to coach and advise the plant leadership team and must be knowledgeable of HR systems and tools.Ability to respond to complex inquiries or complaints from internal customers, OFCCP/EEOC, managers, or associates required.Demonstrated ability to interpret and implement best practices consistent with HR industry/ technical journals, research articles, white papers, governmental regulations, and legal documents.Demonstrated ability to prepare, write and present training programs, speeches, and articles for publication.Ability to effectively present information to top management, associates, and/or customers required.Demonstrated ability to define & resolve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Must be capable of working in fast-paced, self-directed, and changing environmentStrong computer proficiency; particularly with MS OfficeResults-oriented
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree is required with a minimum of 8 to 12 years HR generalist experience in a non-union plant environment.Must be able to coach and advise the plant leadership team and must be knowledgeable of HR systems and tools.
