They look to employ individuals with strong ideas and broad interests, who share in their creative and unique vision of enhancing peoples’ lives.Responsibilities: The HR Manager will be involved in a collaborative culture and therefore should be creative, diligent and effective both in work and communication.This energetic, positive leader will think strategically in order to develop and implement programs as well as deliver employee benefit plans, compensation program and HR policies for all global offices. Key responsibilities include creating strategies to sustain and improve employee benefits and HR policies, creating innovative compensation programs and keeping a pulse on employee morale. He or she should also enjoy an evolving, fast-paced work environment. Duties will include:
Administer health and welfare benefits, profit sharing program and 401(K).
Analyze market based compensation and the annual broad based review for overall equity among employees.
Counsel and resolve employee relations issues.
Conduct analysis on current processes and programs and recommend changes.
Collaborate with the Benefits Manager on complex plan administration issues and communicate new and existing programs.
Collaborate with the Recruiter to build hiring, retention and compensation strategies.
Collaborate with the Professional Development Manager to provide performance-management expertise and assistance.
Administer the Principal Compensation program, promotion process and Titles management.
Educate and coach teams on compensation philosophies and practices such as base pay, incentive programs, salary increases, employee development and all other compensation related topics.
Facilitate the exit interview process to ensure feedback from departing employees.
Investigate and help resolve employee grievances including harassment claims.
Lead and manage the effort to assist foreign nationals with visa applications and firm compliance.
Negotiate rate and performance requirements with employee benefit vendors with the assistance of employee benefits broker.
Participate as an active member in atleast one local, professional Human Resources organization and attend professional seminars and meetings.
Regularly collect and provide feedback on employee satisfaction index to applicable teams.
Responsible for regulatory requirements such as Affirmative Action and Commute Reduction programs.
Stay current on legislative changes that impact employee benefit programs, pay practices, changes in labor law and updates to employee manual.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, organizational management or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years experience as an HR Generalist in a large organization. PHR/SPHR certification a plus.
Experience building variable compensation plans.
Experience in implementing employee policies.
Experience with facilitating and managing visa processes and immigration issues.
Must be well-versed in EEO, HIPPA, ADA, FMLA, Worker's Compensation and all local, state, federal and governmental laws and regulations.
Experience with HRIS and knowledge of safety and health practices.
Proven leadership, coaching and counseling skills in HR issues.
Ability to travel both domestically and abroad.
Software competencies (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as familiarity with accounting and recruiting database software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
