Human Resources Manager
Business Unit: GE Industrial, Advanced MaterialsFunction: Human ResourcesResponsibilities: Provide full scope of HR support for approximately 160 exempt salaried and 370 non-exempt and hourly employees at 3 manufacturing locations: Sistervsville, WV; Garrett, IN and Chino, CA. Provide client human resources management and support for all functions and employees.Essential Functions:
Provide overall Human Resources (HR) responsibility for exempt and non-exempt teams, including staffing, training, leadership/employee development and coaching, career planning, workforce development, performance management, salary planning, EMS, Session C, employee relations and overall human resources compliance.
Lead Union Relations activities at the Sistersville site.
Lead team of 2 exempt professionals and 1 non-exempt administrator.
Lead change initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development and growth for operations across the sites.
Participate in GE-wide human resources initiatives including leadership and employer of choice efforts.
Develop comprehensive communication plan and HR strategy for annual HR processes (e.g. Employee Opinion Survey, Performance Management, Salary Planning).
Strong business acumen and analytical mind set with the ability to lead, implement and facilitate change.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * Bachelors degree or equivalent education in human resources or a related field.
Prior experience leading the human resources function in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of human resource processes related to staffing, compensation, employee relations.
A minimum of 5 years in Human Resources management roles.
Strong interpersonal and project management skills.
Strong communications, coaching, and consulting skills.Eligibility Requirements:

If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.Desired: * Union Relations experience.
Community, communications and media relations relations experience.
Demonstrated leadership qualities.
MBA/MLIR or equivalent education in a related field and/or HRLP experience.
Clear thinker, able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills which will allow for interaction with a range of personalities and styles to establish effective working relationships at all levels in the organization.
Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working as a member of a team as well as independently.
