Human Resources Manager

Progressive Tier I auto supplier seeking a Plant Human Resources Manager for our Lebanon, TN area facility. This is a “roll up your sleeves, extremely hands on” position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
• Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and conducts employee counseling.
• Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
• Implements and maintains Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
• Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys, develops salary budget; analyzes compensation.
• Recruits and selects exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts new-hire orientation; conducts outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
• Trains management in HR topics, such as interviewing, discipline, performance management, employment and labor law.
• Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
• Investigates accidents and injuries.
• Represents the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
• Oversees the benefits administration efforts within the facility.
• Serves as a strategic business partner with the facility's management team.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources or Labor Relations and have a minimum of 5 years hands-on Human Resources managerial experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. SPHR or PHR certification a plus. Must have excellent leadership, facilitation, communication, interpersonal skills and solid organizational/planning skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office.
