The IJ Company, a growing family owned and operated organization, known for Quality Products, Quality Service, and Quality People, is one of the nations’ leading foodservice distributors. At our Valdosta, GA distribution center, we are seeking an experienced:

Human Resources Manager

Primary responsibilities involve
Leading both the strategic and day-to-day activities of the HR function for The IJ Company in Valdosta, GA. This key HR position will also support the Tallahassee, FL center. The successful candidate will be seen as a leader who interacts effectively with all parts of the company and is a trusted HR advisor across the organization. This individual will support the goals of the organization, have the ability to develop long-term plans and programs and make recommendations to management for improvement of processes or policies. Other duties include offering guidance and coaching to staff in all HR areas, coordinating employee development plans, research and resolution of employee issues, ensuring consistency in employment actions, development of processes to improve workflows and efficiencies, identification of manpower requirements and staff accordingly, development of a recruiting strategy. They must provide leadership in recruiting, screening and selection of employees, and provide HR leadership that focuses on company's strategic direction and core values. Other duties include maintenance of various records for government reporting; observe workplace safety and security to maintain a safe working environment; make recommendations, develop and deliver management and employee training as necessary; facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding; coach management in addressing and documenting performance issues and monitor annual performance review program to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

Relocation might be considered for the right candidate.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in HR management with minimum 5 years of direct HR Generalist experience. SPHR or PHR certification preferred. Ability to interact and build relationships with all levels in the organization is required. Superior interpersonal communication and team building skills required. You must possess solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. This position requires occasional travel. Must have experience in and knowledge of Federal and State employment laws, Affirmative Action, and EEO regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required, Ceridian experience preferred.
