Human Resources (HR) Associate

KPMG LLP provides audit, tax and advisory services to a broad range of clients. We are currently seeking a Human Resources (HR) Associate to join us in our Los Angeles office.
Responsibilities:

Function as a core member of the West Area HR Team and assist employees with general HR policy questions/issues

Coordinate with HR contacts at remote local offices on various HR issues

Act as the primary liaison with the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC) and the Payroll department regarding pay issues, new hires and terminations

Team with HR Managers, Onboarding, and the HRSC to help ensure compliance with visa and immigration processes

Develop and design reports, prepare preliminary analyses upon request, including turnover analyses, HR scorecard, etc.

Track and review background checks and compliance tracking, including CPE, Year End Reviews, Goal Setting, CPA licensing, Manager Agreements, etc.

Conduct exit interviews and analyze results

Process terminations, leave of absence requests, promotions, transfers, etc.

Responsible for the local office aspects of terminations and assist with local office orientation

Administer performance management and ratings process; assist in coordination and execution of annual compensation process

Work with the marketing/communications team to draft monthly and quarterly business unit and office messages

Function as member of the client service support training committee

Provide administrative support to HR Managers and other tasks, as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent HR or advisory services experience

One year of HR experience; three years of administrative experience involving direct interaction with clients

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Able to work overtime during peak periods on short notice

Ability to travel to other KPMG offices specifically Costa Mesa and Cypress on a weekly basisKPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
